Storage conditions have a great impact on the quality changes of jet fuel, the most important of which is temperature. When the temperature rises, the speed of fuel oxidation is accelerated, increasing the glue and the increase of acidity, and at the same time, it also deeper the color of the fuel. In addition, the contact with air, contact with the metal surface, and the existence of moisture can promote the oxidation and deterioration of jet fuel.

Heating

When the flying speed exceeds the speed of sound, due to the friction of the air, the temperature of the aircraft has increased, and the temperature of the fuel in the fuel tank has also risen, which can reach more than 100 ° C. Under such high temperatures, the uneasy components in fuels are more likely to oxidize and generate glue and precipitates. These glue deposits on the surface of the heat exchanger, resulting in a reduction in cooling efficiency; deposits on filters and nozzles will block the filter and nozzle, and the spray fuel distribution will be unevenly distributed, causing incomplete combustion. Therefore, for a long time of jet fuel for supersonic air, it requires good heat stability.

The heating of jet fuel depends mainly on its chemical composition. Studies have shown that there are very few sediments generated by saturated hydrocarbons in jet fuel, and after adding aromatherapy hydrocarbons, precipitates will increase ten times; and the glue and sulfur -containing compounds in fuels will also make it significantly worse , Greatly increase the amount of precipitation.
